Akhandanand Tripathi with a baton is a millionaire exporter of carpets and mobsters Don Mirzapur. Akhandanand Tripathi, also known as “Kaleen Bhaiia”, is a millionaire exporter of carpets and donations of Mirzapur city, located in the hinterland, lawless belt of Purvanchal in East India. Mirzapur is the most popular seat of government in the region. The rude Tripathis have been the undisputed rulers of Mirzapur since Satiananda Tripathi, Akhandanand’s father, took over the reins of the city in a bloody uprising twenty years ago.
Munna Tripathi, Akhandanand’s son, is greedy for power and will do nothing to inherit his father’s legacy, an empire built on the illegal arms trade and smuggling of opium. But his own father thinks he is not ready to sit.
Guddu and Bablu Pandit are the sons of the only righteous and respected lawyer and activist in the city, Ramakant Pandit. Guddu and Bablu strive for a better life and break the chaos of middle-class life as Ramakant leads the crusades against the mighty Tripathis.
An unrelated incident, in which Munna participated in a wedding procession, triggers a series of events that slow down the lives of Tripathis and Pandit. This triggers a game of ambition, power, loyalty and greed that eventually threatens to control Tripathis in Mirzapur
